Everything around you is a reflection of your very self (people, objects, phenomena). By changing yourself you alter the surrounding world. Aikido is one way to do it.

Masters

Kenji Tomiki

Kenji Tomiki (1900-1979) was the first student of Morihei Ueshiba who received the 8th dan before 1940 when WWII began. This stunning result was achieved after 15 years of hard training in parallel with judo practice under Jigoro Kanos supervision who also evaluated Tomiki as the 8th dan.

A Waseda University professor with top judo and aikido mastery Kenji Tomiki created a brand new aikido trend the competitive aikido.

He worked out the combat regulations eliminating all dangerous elements. This resulted in the emergence of the opportunity to referee the aikido combat, to minimize the injury risk and to attract a lot of new people all over the globe whatever their ideology and outlook into the world of aikido.
